A basic makeup with subtle, smoky blue eyeshadow. This was a collaborative project with a group of Advertising students at the Savannah College of Art and Design. They wanted a series of monochromatic looks to match different colors of the soda they were advertizing. This was the “blue” image.

For the student film Bone’yeerd which has been accepted to the 2012 Cannes “Short films corner”. Even though the character is dead throughout the film, the Director wanted her to convey a haunting, ethereal beauty.

This efficient zombie effect was used for a student film entitled Dearly Departed in which a family of zombies mourn the loss of their son. Pictured is “Pop Zombie”. The look was created with simple greasepaints and syrup-based blood (and a few secret tricks) and creates a dramatic effect at very low cost.

From the student film “Dearly Departed” in which a family of zombies mourns the loss of their son – who has been killed by a human. The project called for the “re-dead” zombie son to have a significant headwound (as anyone knows, the only way to kill a zombie is to destroy it’s brain) This effect uses greasepaint, brow wax and strawberry jelly to create the illusion of a hole in the upper forehead, without the time and expense of a full silicone prosthetic.
